NewsBorn to be MildJan 14, 2010The two Harleys-Harley Elliott one of Kansas’ most distinguished poets, and Harley Marshall, one of Kansas City’s least distinguished actors star as “Easy Writers” in Born to be Mild. The production has been described as Poetry vs. Theater, an aesthetic Texas Death Match if you will, with an emphasis on the seven stages of man as proscribed by the melancholy Jacques in As You Like It. Experience the heart-wrenching story of identical twins named Harley- born four months apart, kidnapped by gypsies and forced to write poetry and stuff. This is indeed heavy and funny too (if your taste runs in that direction). Take it all in on Saturday, January 16th, 8:00pm, at the Hutchinson Art Center, 405 N. Washington. The two Harleys experienced together, for the first and last time, the two Harleys who were Born to be Mild, the two Harleys who are “Easy Writers.” This program is Free and Open to the Public, for more information contact the Hutchinson/Reno Arts and Humanities Council at 620/662-1280 or hrah@cox.net.
