Hutchinson Art Center says Goodbeye to David Murano
Dec 15, 2008
For the past two and one half years David Murano has served as the Director of the Hutchinson Art Center during which time the organization experienced significant growth and development. David's record of expanding educational programming, community involvement, prudent financial stewardship, and strong aesthetic sense in the gallery exhibits provide a sterling legacy.
Such talent, as one would expect, has been recognized outside of our community, resulting in David being offered the position of Program Specialist for City Arts (Facility Director) in Wichita's Old Town. It was with regret and sincere good wishes for his future that the Board of Directors of the Hutchinson Art Association accepted David's resignation. His last day at the ArtCenter was December third.
The Board of Directors of the Art Association will form a search committee to hire a new director in early 2009. During the interval, Mark Rassette Director of the Hutchinson/Reno Arts and Humanities Council has in addition to his present duties, agreed to serve as Interim Director of the ArtCenter.
The Board of the Hutchinson Art Association is proud of the organization's past achievements and is confident that the future holds great things for the ArtCenter and our Community.
